EWU Study

The below maps were created by a team of Urban and Regional Planning students from Eastern Washington University who did a suitability analysis of the Sand Creek peninsula as a location for a highway. Based on their analysis the students concluded that the Sand Creek peninsula is not a suitable location for a highway due to negative impacts on the environment, recreation, and cultural and historic sites and other factors. The impacts to each resource are displayed on individual maps and combined on a composite map.
